Traditionally one of the most popular weekends for switching on Christmas lights in villages, towns and cities across the UK, the second weekend in November is just 10 weeks away.
Whether you’ve already chosen your scheme or are still deciding the details, here’s a quick checklist of things to consider:
- Identify your preferred lighting supplier and discuss logistics with your project manager
- Double-check infrastructure to ensure buildings can carry the necessary weight loads and that decorations have a secure electricity supply
- Finalise the scheme – consider decorating trees and prominent buildings as well as using decorations on lamp columns, in canopies and across streets
- Allow sufficient time for delivery and installation – every project is different, so work closely with your project manager to identify realistic dates and deadlines
When all that’s done, you can enjoy the switch-on and start your Christmas shopping!
